 Susan and I arrived in the Tri-Cities October 1990.  When we arrived and started our housing search, we were surprised at the lack of options.  There were three homes in the entire Tri-Cities that seem to meet our needs.  New construction was a very small portion of the total inventory.    Starting in 1992, we really saw an acceleration of new home construction.  The above chart shows the growth and decline of our sales volume.  Even though 2008, was close to 2002 levels, our sales were significantly better than many areas in Washington State and the West Coast last year. With our diverse economy and federal dollars continuing to fund major products, our economic outlook is healthy.
